Kestrel is committed to maintaining credibility, integrity, and independence in the Sustainability Intelligence data product. Users of Kestrel Sustainability Intelligence, rated items, issuers of rated items, and other interested stakeholders may submit a complaint or reasoned concern by contacting us.
Complaints may relate to data sources or factual errors, application of the methodology, or appropriate representation of the evaluated asset by the Sustainability Intelligence data. Reasoned concerns may address broader issues regarding the integrity, independence, or reliability of Kestrel’s Sustainability Intelligence ratings and must include the stakeholder’s name and position.
All records related to submitted complaints, subsequent investigation and correspondence, including responses and outcomes, will be retained by Kestrel for at least five years.
Any complaint received will be handled in a timely manner. Kestrel will investigate complaints and communicate outcomes to the complainant within a reasonable period, except where communications would violate Kestrel policies or applicable regulatory requirements.
To help Kestrel review your complaint or reasoned concern, please provide:

Kestrel will document and review submissions in accordance with its internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. We may request additional information as needed and will communicate the outcome of our review, as appropriate.
Please note: Sufficient information must be provided for Kestrel to assess a complaint or reasoned concern. Submissions that lack necessary details, including a description of the issue, may not be processed unless the missing information is provided.
Review of and any necessary investigation into a complaint shall be conducted by personnel who were not involved in the primary evaluation of the relevant items. Complaints are reviewed on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities to improve transparency, consistency, and quality of Kestrel Sustainability Intelligence.
General inquiries and requests for more information shall be routed to alternative review pathways.
